What does the overnight stay for children cost?
For children aged 0-3 years we offer a cot free of charge. Children aged 0-5 can also stay in their parents' bed free of charge. For children older than 5 years we provide the booking of an extra bed at a price of €30,00 per extra bed and night.
How many rooms can I book as a group?
Are you travelling in a group? For reservations of seven rooms or more, please send us an email to.
How can I change my booking?
You can make all changes yourself directly via our booking page using your reservation number and e-mail address. If you do need help, please call us on.
Where can I find the cancellation conditions for my booking?
We will inform you directly in the booking process which cancellation conditions are valid for the respective prices. Once your booking has been completed, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation, on which all information is listed once again.
Where can I park and how much does a parking space cost?
You can park in the hotel's own underground car park. The daily rate is €15,00. Parking spaces cannot be reserved.
When can I check in?
From 4 pm on the day of arrival.
The room is available from 4 pm on the day of arrival. Should you arrive earlier, there are two possibilities:
1. we will check on site whether we can offer you a room before 4 pm, if necessary. However, this depends on availability at the time and cannot be guaranteed.
2. you are welcome to leave your luggage in our boot free of charge, wait until the regular check-in time or explore Essen's old town in the meantime.
When is the reception staffed?
The reception is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Until when do I have to check out on the day of departure? How can I book a late check-out?
Until 11 am. A Late Check Out until 4 pm can only be booked Sundays, subject to availability. For the late check out we charge a surcharge of €30,00 on the room price you booked.
How can I pay? Will my credit card be charged automatically? Do I always need a credit card to book?
For bookings via our homepage, the credit card is a mandatory field.
Book our Flexible Rate for flexibility up to 6 pm on the day of arrival. You can simply cancel your booking free of charge up to 6 pm on the day of arrival should your plans change. In addition, you do not pay for the room in advance, but only when you arrive on site. You benefit from the greatest flexibility in the event of illness or schedule changes.
If you have a fixed travel period in mind early on, our Early-Bird-Price and Promotion Price offers you the best tariff. Please note that you are not entitled to a refund in the event of a cancellation and, in addition, full prepayment by credit card is mandatory at the time of booking. We recommend this rate if your trip is firmly scheduled.
Are dogs welcome?
Dogs are welcome in our standard rooms only. We charge €10 per day/dog for your animal companion.
What is the cost of breakfast? What are the breakfast times?
Breakfast is served from Monday to Friday from 06.30 am to 10.30 am, on Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 11 am in our restaurant Deli. Participation in the breakfast buffet costs €14.50 per person/day and includes hot beverages.
Can I come to breakfast as a non-hotel guest?
Participation in breakfast as a non-hotel guest is possible depending on availability on the day in question. Please contact our team at the reception for a possible booking.
Is my room air-conditioned?
All rooms at Flowers Hotel Essen are air-conditioned.
Are you a non-smoking hotel?
Flowers Hotel Essen is a non-smoking hotel, smoking is not allowed in the rooms.
Do you offer wheelchair accessible rooms?
The Flowers Hotel Essen has two wheelchair accessible rooms on the seventh floor. The bathroom is equipped with grab bars, the shower is wheelchair accessible. Reservation on request.
